Madeline Cross

I'm very excited to be a part of the Oakview Elementary School team! I originally joined Oakview as a student teacher while completing my degree and certification from Rowan University. This led to a position for several years as a special education teacher at West Deptford Middle School. After time off to help raise my family, I began a career with the Goddard School of Mount Laurel. During this time I was employed as both a preschool teacher and assistant director, and most recently, the school’s Director. I'm looking forward to my second year as pre-k teacher for West Deptford.

I am a current West Deptford resident, wife of a WDMS physical education teacher, and proud mom of three amazing kids!

My college education, work experience with Goddard, teaching experience, and time with my family has helped me to understand the behavior and psychology of the young mind, the importance of balancing teacher and child-directed learning, how to implement positive discipline, and how to further develop my sympathetic and patient approach towards children.

I'm looking forward to helping with the continued development of new pre-k program along with Dr. Carvalho and Mr. Dougherty. My goal is to help your children learn in a fun, creative and safe environment, and contribute to their growth and well-being as I prepare them for a future of positive learning.

I look forward to working with you!
